We Stand With Colombia no recibe donaciones.

We Stand With Colombia does not receive donations. We are an intermediary between the organisations working on the ground and the advertising industry that donates the space. Every donation is made directly on the platform of the organisation receiving it, and never passes through us. How this works

01 — How it was made

A three-person chat, a craft and many weeks of late nights

There was no agency, no brief, no budget. There was an earthquake, the feeling of being far away, and the certainty that the only thing we knew how to do well was put things on very big screens.

We are three Colombian designers who work in outdoor advertising. After 10 August we spent days looking at figures from Chocó without knowing how to help from where we were. The idea was simple and a little naive: ask for donated screens in the cities with the most Colombians abroad, design a piece that would not look like advertising, and make every donation go straight to an organisation already on the ground, without passing through us.

We wrote it down, sent it, and to our surprise people said yes: DIVE Billboards opened the doors to media owners; JCDecaux, Branded Cities and Dream Outdoor donated space in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles; Cruz Roja Colombiana approved the artwork. Along the way we found there were many people wanting to do something with no clear way to do it. That is where the idea of the movement, and this page, came from.

Donation

We are not an agency and we have no legal entity. We contribute design. The donation happens entirely inside the receiving organisation's infrastructure, with its payment methods and traceability. We see no donor data and no amounts. No fees, no commission on funds raised, no commercial brand next to the receiving organisation. The next actions follow the same rule.

04 — The technology behind it

Three people could do this in weeks because they did not work alone

Part of the work was done by AI agents: the portraits in the piece, adaptations to formats, texts in two languages, maps, this website, research and coordination. We say so because we think it should be said.

The decisions, the relationships with people and organisations, and the responsibility for what each screen says are human. The portraits are generated: no real person was depicted. The messages on screen are written by people, with their permission.
